My daughter shared something in her "Ministering Spiritual Gifts" class at her home school co-op that touched me significantly. It wasn't just about what she said, but how she expressed it. To sum it up, she cried about the heavy burden she feels God has placed on her about her love and care for animals. The stress of rescue, loving, nurturing, re-homing, saving and some times burying all animals that God places in her life. It's exhausting when you are just a teenager. She inherited my heart, my Father's heart, her Father's heart. We love animals. Simply put. If we are in a position that we cannot take them in, we don't stop there. We will do everything humanely possible for them. We've traveled miles away to simply re-home a fish.
What can we do??? What gifts do we have that we can use to give back?? I wouldn't say that I have a "GIFT" of baking and decorating cookies. I do believe God has given me the gift to give back. What better way then to share and do for those who cannot do for themselves, by no fault of their own.
I haven't taken a vacation in 13 years. That is how long I've owned my furry children. Before that, I had not taken a vacation in the 9 years I had my furry child. I can't leave them, I'm all they have. They live a good life and they have this awesome life because I've given it to them. So does it end there???? It can't. So, what better way to help but to use our talents, and our gifts to bless another blessing. It is my promise to God that I will look after those cute and awesome creatures that deserve a chance in life....because they depend on us.
My business gives back. And it is a privilege to honor what we have been blessed to do. I pray that all small business owners join me in this awesome journey.
In closing, I pray that the God watches over our furry and some not furry "beings" and that he places many people in their lives to protect them and touch them with love, compassion, care and protection...in his name.
